Commodity Watch: Copper Futures Marginally Gain On Higher Spot Demand
New Delhi: Copper futures on Monday rose 0.51 per cent to Rs810.55 per kilogram on the back of higher spot demand. On Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for January delivery climbed Rs4.10 or 0.51 per cent to Rs810.55 per kg in a business turnover of 8,093 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to the raising of bets by participants.
Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets
Aluminium prices rose 95 paise to Rs242.35 per kilogram in the futures market as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. On MCX, aluminium for delivery in December increased 95 paise or 0.39 per cent to Rs242.35 per kg in 3,428 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
